Introducing Einstein, the Lodge’s May Dog of the Month! Einstein is a happy go-lucky Dachshund mix who has been part of both our Daycare and Lodge pack for quite sometime. Although he enjoys walking and snuggling with other dogs. Einstein is very human in his mannerisms and just might think he is a person! When he gets excited about something, like walk time or his favorite people coming into playgroup, Einstein likes to “talk” to make sure we all know he approves of what is happening! Congrats Einstein!

Meet Maggie, the Daycare’s Dog of the Month for May! Maggie is an adorable, cuddly King Charles Cavalier Spaniel. True to her breed, Maggie is extremely friendly, super affectionate, fun loving, and playful. Her best friend is another King Charles Cavalier named Bob, but Maggie is known for playing with any and every dog that will engage in her antics! Even when she has worn out her play buddies, Maggie is notorious for making her own fun by chasing shadows around the playgroups! Way to go Maggie, we are so happy you are part of our Fog City pack!

Presenting Mia and Tuya! The Daycare’s Dogs of the Month! Mia and Tuya are a gorgeous pair of sisters who have been part of the Fog City pack since it was started! Mia is an adorable mixed breed who came to us as a rowdy young pup, ready to take on the world! With some great training and structure from her mom, Mia has become a doggie ambassador! She is always impeccably well behaved, and Mia loves, and I mean LOVES, to play fetch. Tuya is a Taiwanese rescue dog – she tends to be very feline in her mannerisms, but that is part of what makes her so endearing! She even purrs if you are petting her on your lap! These sisters are full of unique personality, which helps to keep our daycare pack so well rounded and fun to be a part of! After a long day of daycare, these two ladies are ready to curl up on a bed with a fluffy dog and take a quick snooze before they head home. Way to go Mia and Tuya!

Presenting Bentley and Montae – the Lodge’s Dogs of the Month for April! Montae is a gorgeous little maltese, and Bentley is an adorable maltipoo. These sweet guys have made a name for themselves in our Fog City pack. Bentley used to come in for daycare with lots to say and a bit of a chip on his shoulder, but once he realized all the other pups were here to be his buddies he quickly mellowed out and become quite the social butterfly! Montae on the other hand was quite shy when he started to come to us but, with his brother’s feisty personality, has been encouraged to break out of his shell and be playful with our other dogs! These little brothers cannot seem to make it into the Lodge fast enough when they get here for daycare, and they always make a grand entrance into play group! By the mid afternoon, they are ready for a good long snuggle, and with those adorable faces all of our staff is always happy to oblige! Congrats Bentley and Montae! We are thrilled to have both of you as part of our pack!

Presenting Bear & Ginger, the Lodge’s Dogs of the Month for March! Bear, a bichon frise, and Ginger, a mini poodle, are quite the dynamic little duo. While both of them live up to their little fluffy lap dog reputation, they are so much more than that. These curly-haired siblings are little jokers, full of life and personality. Bear has an unmatched zest for life! At 12 years old, he is spunky and charismatic! His under bite gives him a trademark smile and causes him to make some very unique sounds when he gets excited! Ginger is Bear’s younger sister, who has quickly bonded with Bear as well as their human sister at home! She adores having her tummy rubbed, and she will gladly roll over immediately for some love. She is very sweet, quite a snuggler, and who could ever turn that face down! Together, Bear and Ginger are a perfect team, and we are so glad to have them as part of our pack!

Fudgie is the Daycare’s March Dog of the Month! Fudgie is a dapper, chocolate colored Portuguese Water Dog. He has a very handsome coat with contrasting light eyes that give him an incredibly unique look. Most dogs love to be pet, but Fudgie REALLY likes to have his head scratched! He is a yoga professional as well – after every nap he takes, he consistently spends a good few minutes in a lengthy stretch, most reminiscent of a “downward dog” coincidentally! Fudgie recently welcomed a new sister into his family, a young Portie named Lena! He has spent the last few weeks being a wonderful big brother, showing her the ropes of how to be a good member of the Fog City Pack! Way to go Fudgie!

Meet Stewart, the Daycare’s February Dog of the Month! Stewart is a little “pocket beagle”, think all of the lovable attributes of a standard beagle condensed into tinier packaging – pretty cute, right? We sure think so! His charming personality and striking looks have gotten Stewart quite the little band of admirers (he is sure to be a Valentine’s day favorite)! He has been affectionately nicknamed “Little Chompers”, as he loves to snack on just about everything! He is a busy boy most of the time, but during our sunnier San Francisco days, Stewart knows how to take a day to himself and catch some rays by the Franklin St. windows. Congrats Stewart, your admirers will be proud!

Riley is the Lodge’s Dog of the Month for February! Riley is a fun-loving yellow lab, who really exemplifies the essence of being a lab! Riley began visiting with us over the holidays in 2010 and has been a regular for boarding and daycare since. Riley readily runs through the front door, usually carrying her own leash, and cannot get back into the play areas fast enough. She prances along for her walks, plays with every dog that shows any interest, and enjoys nuzzling her head into staff’s laps to get pet. Not only is Riley a favorite at Fog City, but she has recently welcomed a baby into her home where she constantly gets showered with snacks from her new sister! Loving, adorable, extremely friendly, and ready for anything – what more can you ask for? Congrats Riley!

Cali K9 Solutions is a bay area dog training company specializing in obedience, socialization, and behavior modification. Starting in February, we are excited to be hosting their group classes once a week at our Marina location!
