Dog Friendly Focus – Financial District

Dog Friendly Focus – Financial District – Ferry Building

This week’s Fido friendly focus takes us to outside of the Ferry Building.

Farmer’s Marketthe ferry building

Tuesday, Thursdays and doubled in size on Saturday – the Ferry Building surrounds itself with an outdoor Farmers Market. From 10-2 on Tuesday/Thursday and 8-2 on Saturday. You can shop with your dog, and pick up lots of bay area produce and treats to accompany your Thanksgiving dinner. The market is dog friendly and is run by the Center for Urban Education about Sustainable Agriculture. So treat yourself to local goodness.

Thanksgiving week’s dog treat:

If your dog is staying with us, treat them to our special meal for just $5.  On Thanksgiving night, we will be serving a special turkey dinner treat made of lots of the favorites that dogs and humans alike love.  Let us know if you want your dog to take part in the feast.

We are thankful for our time with your pups this last year and look forward to the coming holidays with them!

Dog Friendly Lunch Spot – Gott’s Roadsidehamburger dog

This week we are eating at Gott’s. Famous for their burgers and delicious fries, we have been stopping for lunch with them since they were “Taylor’s Refresher” in St Helena. It has been longer than we have had some of our dogs, so it is a bit like another old friend.

We love their food and appreciate their commitment to our community. We picked them this week because they are giving 20% of all sales on 11/14 to education. We think that is worth a stop for a bite (even if its not the day of the Farmers Market).

Expect a wait, but you’ve got your dog to keep you company, and the people watching and setting make the wait fly by.
