Dog Friendly Focus – South of Market

Dog Friendly Brewery – Black Hammer Brewing

We love a trip to SoMa to see where the future is taking us. Great bars and restaurants pop up here all of the time, and we are always on the hunt for a great new find. One recent find is not that new, but was a surprise to us – dog friendly Black Hammer Brewing.growler

This place has great beer, a cool mascot dog (named Growler), and lots of space, though it crowds in. We loved the Nectar of Life and found a curious enjoyment from Nicolas Sage.  But with a dozen beers on tap, if you like beer you are pretty likely to find something you like.

And since dogs are welcome, you are pretty likely to be happy tasting your way around with friends by your side.

Dog Friendly Brunch/Dinner – Skool

For eats we went to Skool who has an outdoor seating area. With lots of amazing seafood dishes and California fusion, we could not have been happier. We loved the Japanese influences and are suckers for local and sustainable cuisine. The team here provides great service and delicious dishes that make us big fans.

Where and How:

Black Hammer is half way between our dog daycare and dog overnight facilities in SoMa at 4th and Bryant.

And Skool also splits the difference between our two dog care locations so we’ll surely be stopping back.
